How Dhandacheck works
A B2B trust layer for Indian businesses. Only GST/PAN-verified owners can post — this is not a consumer review site.
Every commenter is identity-verified
Before posting anything, you enter your GSTIN or PAN and confirm an email OTP. Your verified identifier is stamped on every red flag you post. There are no anonymous accounts — a scammer trying to spam reports leaves a trail tied to their own registration. Important: verification proves who you are, not that what you say is true. Every user is verified; every opinion is unverified.
Only GSTIN-verified businesses can post red flags
Posting a red flag requires a valid GSTIN — you're on record as a registered business, not an anonymous consumer. PAN-verified individuals can still read reports and vote on them, but can't post. This keeps Dhandacheck a strictly B2B forum and preserves your legal standing if the report is ever challenged. Every report picks a structured category (advance taken and not delivered, payment delay > 60 days, fake invoice, bounced cheque, etc.), states first-hand facts, and acknowledges reporter indemnity. PII like phone numbers and Aadhaar is blocked. Words like "scammer" and "fraudster" are rejected — you describe the behaviour, not attack the person.
The community rates the reporter, not the business
Verified users vote Strongly agree / Agree / Disagree / Strongly disagree on each report. A reporter's score is aggregated across every comment they've posted. Trusted reporters earn a badge; low-credibility reporters get flagged; reports scoring −5 or worse are auto-collapsed behind a "community flagged" reveal.
Businesses have a right to reply — and free identity access
If a report is about your business, verify with your business's own GSTIN and post one pinned official response. Your reply appears above every red flag on your profile. As the verified owner you also see every reporter's identity for free — you're the aggrieved party, not a casual reader. This is a defence, not a delete button — the red flag stays visible unless removed via the grievance flow.
Reading reports is paid (unless you're the reported business)
Authors of red flags are hidden by default. Verified viewers pay ₹30 to unlock a single reporter's identity, or a bundle price (starting at ₹99 for 6 reporters) to unlock everyone on a business. Verified owners of the business being reported see all reporter identities for free — the paywall filters casual curiosity, not aggrieved parties.
Legal takedowns: 15-day standard, 36-hour fast-track
If you believe a specific report is defamatory, false, or violates law, file a formal request via the grievance officer. Standard requests are reviewed within 15 days per India's IT Rules 2021. Court orders and formal legal notices go into a 36-hour fast-track lane as required by Rule 3(1)(d). Attach the signed order or notice as evidence — misuse of the fast-track flag (marking non-legal complaints as legal notices) may forfeit your account.
What Dhandacheck is NOT
- Not a consumer complaint site. Consumers cannot post — only GST/PAN-holders.
- Not a credit bureau. We don't score businesses; we surface first-hand reports.
- Verified users, not verified opinions. The person behind every post is GST/PAN identity-verified, but their claim is their own unverified opinion — Dhandacheck does not audit, verify, or endorse any report.
- Not a court. If a report is proven false, the takedown route removes it — no shortcuts.
